A Couple Of Days in Nashville

Our team at Advisor Websites has been going to the Bob Veres' Insider's Forum Conference for YEARS now. However, this is the first time that I've actually gone to represent Advisor Websites!

As the website provider for the conference website (www.insidersforum.com), I've worked closely with the team for many years, so it was nice to meet them all in person in Nashville this week.

I was very excited and grateful that the conference offered me a speaking spot, something I want to do a lot more of. Luckily, I wasn't up there alone, as I partnered with Robert Sofia of Snappy Kraken, and we co-presented a talk called Web Done Right: Why Advisors Aren't Getting Results Online and How to Fix It.

We discussed some common misconceptions that advisors have online. Stuff like ensuring their website is SEO friendly, how to define your website's target audience, how to automate marketing campaigns, and much more.

The conference attendees were way more engaged than I expected, and once we started talking about video, the room really came alive. It was a good feeling to know that our presentation helped to get advisors talking about digital marketing, and for the next day during the conference, a handful of people came up to me to carry on the conversation.

All in all, the conference was great for us. We met 5-10 advisors who are already using Advisor Websites, and met a lot more that are interested in what we offer.

As a conference venue, I don't think it could have been any better. It was held at the Omni Hotel in Nashville, which is conveniently located right downtown, just a couple blocks away from Broadway and some great live music.

Being September, the temperature was still in the mid 30's (celcius!), but that didn't stop me from getting in a much needed run halfway through the conference, because I think we ate some legendary Nashville Hot Chicken every day we were there!
